About Robin Linde:
Robin Linde began her tai chi journey in 1992. Her fascination with this internal martial art was immediate. "I've never studied anything that captured me as fully as tai chi. It is a complete system that emphasizes a calm mind, balance, strength and flexibility. It has been an excellent path toward improving my health and vitality."
After several years of studying tai chi, she was led to seek out additional training to augment her tai chi practice -- including chi kung and push hands. In 1997, she began studying with Sifu Norm Burland where she took her tai chi to the next level to include martial applications of the form. With Sifu Burland, she also studied Five-Animal kung fu, Ba Gua Fan, Tai Chi Sword, and Yang and Chen Style Tai Chi.
In October 1999 she attended a push hands workshop with internationally renowned martial artist, Peter Ralston. Robin has recently attended workshops with Dr. Yang Jwing-Ming, focusing on his traditional tai chi form, chi kung and push hands. She also has attended seminars on 24 and 42 standardized tai chi forms with Professor Li DeYin; and seminars with Master Tony Yang on Yin Fu Ba Gua. In 1998, she competed in an international kung fu tournament, where she placed second in the 24-Step Yang Style Tai Chi competition.
Robin has been teaching tai chi for over ten years and she is very motivated to help those who want to improve their health through tai chi. "Tai chi continues to improve my state of being. I am eager to share this art with others because I have witnessed its excellent effects first hand." She currently teaches at a St. Petersburg Florida clinic of Chinese Medicine, Acupuncture & Herbal Therapies
In addition to her martial arts study, Robin also is completing coursework with the East West School of Herbology with Michael Tierra in Santa Cruz, CA. She currently assists clinic staff with herbal formulation and preparation of linaments, salves, tinctures and decoctions, and she works in the student herbal clinic. She is a member of the American Herbalist Guild.
